A) it's gunna cost better....
But.... did you have to fab your shifters? I've found a tripple shifter for the chev setup, but not for the ford... So I'd need a t400 (want not need) with a 203, then I'd have to drill new mounts in the ford 205? Will a devorced work?
It would be nice to be high.
Sorry I have no time to read up on it tonight.
what doubler adapter are you going to be using? WMS, ORD, Staz, or Northwest fab all offer a chevy to ford adapter. This means there is absolutely no modification to either case. Its 100% bolt together. The shifters are a pain, but, if you are going to shell out nearly $300 ($265+shipping) for the triple stick setup you would prolly just be better off going to one of the local shops and having them make you a custom setup. I used a D300 shfiter (which almost bolts right on to the 205) and then the stock 203 shifter. Eventually I plan to either make a trick cable setup or I may try an elec ram shifter. The only downside to going with the Ford front is its harder to get 35 spline outers. You can either cut down (5/8") a stock chevy outer or you can buy aftermarket. Still not a big deal for the added benefit of have a HP front. Also, with the doubler you will have a super long front shaft so having the HP will help tremdously.
You can use divorced 205s (ORD offers a kit) but that will make your setup even longer and with a doubler its already way long. Plus this will also make your front shaft even longer (you will already need a two piece front shaft as it is). Any other questions ask away
