the only one I have personal experience with is the throttle body spacer, all I have to say is skip it...if you enjoy and nice high pitch whistle and no gain anywhere else then go for it...otherwise leave it for the other suckers :D

I have the stage 2 JET and the air intake in my TJ and XJ. The jet chip showed a huge improvement in power and torque, but killed my gas mileage. I put the cone filter in and showed better gas mileage, but no more power gain.

I agree with what was said above about the TBI spacer. I bought one for my truck and didn't notice a damn bit of differance :-\

I bought one for my 4.2L with Mopar injection, it made it run worse. Tried it everyway it could go in and pulled it out. It is in my YJ now and it seems to get about 1-2 mpg worse than without, I am pulling it out soon. Wide-open throttle seems a little better but light throttle (motoring down the freeway) there is a dead spot. I would say no, it is not worth $70.00 bucks to step back. I am running a Hesco computer in my YJ and it will out pull a YJ (similar gears, tire, ect) by a Jeep length or two from 0 to 60 mph. It cost me $200 bucks from Hesco. I tossed my 4 cyl for a Cherokee 4L with AW4 and needed a computer. I get 15 to 19 mpg on the freeway with 35” tires. If you need more power, I would look into a 4L stroker motor. Cost more but you will get some big improvements for the buck.

I have 4.88 gears and the 15-19 mpg would be freeway only and over time it averaged around 17. 12-15 would be combined; I think most would be in that range. Jeep's have a big flat windshield, which makes for poor aerodynamics. It takes some power to push it thru the air. On thing you may look at is your thermostat. If the thermostat is to low, I think for the 4.0L it should be above 196 deg F, the computer will run in an open loop. Open loop will keep the fuel rich in order to keep it running until the temp gets up, then the computer will operate in a closed loop and the fuel mixture will then be leaned out. If the thermostat was changed to a cooler one or it is not operating properly and the engine temp sensor is below 196 deg F the computer will make the engine run rich. That will cause poor mileage. Injectors that are dirty will cause poor gas mileage. I had my injectors clean because it would not pass emissions and it passed with flying colors afterwards. The gas mileage did improved after the cleaning. I think they were on state street in SLC, I found them in the yellow pages. I think he charges $15 per injector to clean and gauge fuel flow. New injectors are $100 if not more.
