TJ headlight prob

so my 97 TJ has an issue with the cold. when its cold, my headlights will not turn on, until the jeep warms up, once its warm, they switch right on. anyone ever have this happen before, or know what it is?

Could be your headlight relay freezing up on you! While you drive the relay get warm, when you leave it over night in the cold, there could be some moisture that freezes inside the switch over night... sound out there haha but kinda makes sense

Our flatbed semi trailer at work does this with the tail lights, dont know wtf it is.

my jeep had this problem. it is also a 97tj. it ended up being the switch. not a big deal, but if i remember right, the switch was like $50! sheesh! i think the switch was just worn out and maybe the contact points shrunk in the cold and didn't contact until they warmed up and expanded. who knows? i do remember the parking lights still worked....
