My 96 ZJ rear 35 is starting to make a lot of noise and will need to be fixed or replaced. I have access to a 97 TJ rear 35 and wondered if the TJ axle will fit under a ZJ or will it require changes ?
Don't put another 35 in it.
The axle itself should be the same, but the bracketry is a bit different.
I'll have to look to see how different the brackets are and also check the TJ ratio. If the ratios are different it wouldn't make sense to change things. Maybe I should have kept one of those xj d44s that we had, it would have been a lot of work but it would have worked out nice.
