I broke one of my stock mirriors on my 02 ram 1500 and was looking at putting tow mirriors on so i can see my camper better. Seems you can get them on ebay for about $190 but someof the reviews say the glass vibrates while going down the road and makes it impossible to see out of them! I am sure you can still see but it would be weird to see out of... Has anyone used the aftermarket ones and if so how are they? Worth saving the extra money or should i just pony up and spend the 300+ from the dealer?

Thanks.

I bought aftermarket powered tow mirrors for my 2001 Dodge 2500. They were to replace the non-powered set I had. I got them off ebay. They were from am-autoparts? I paid 214.00 for the pair and maybe some shipping. I've been happy with them. So much nicer to adjust from the drivers seat. They don't seem to vibrate much. I read those reviews too. The key is making sure you have the support bracket required for the tow mirrors. (also available on line) Hope that helps.

I bought one of those mirrors for my '06 Dodge. It was exactly like the OEM mirror -- right down to the little plastic casting nubs. It does not vibrate. The dealers write crap reviews to get you to buy from them at 2X the wholesale price.
