Is there a way to read the engine codes for a Powerjoke with a key sequence or do I need a scanner/code reader? Everything seems fine, but the Check Engine Light came on in HEAVY hail while I was at a dead stop on the freeway. The intake is clean and doesn't look like it has/had any water in it so I don't really know where to go from here.........

mine used to come on when there was any major precipitation (hail, snow, rain, etc). It ended up being the CPS. Cost about $80 and took maybe ten minutes to change. As far as I know there is no way to pull codes except for with a scanner and the light has to be on in order to pull the code. (Mine would go off if I turned it off then back on so I could never get the code(s) off it).

CPS.......well, I've got one in the glovebox. It wouldn't hurt to put it on.

I just carry my scanner in my expedition at all times... it only cost me $80 from checker auto... if you need to use it I would be glad to lend it out....
