Jinx

when in doubt, upgrade!
Location
So Jordan, Utah
Should sell quickly, it would be a cool play toy at a great price.

Questions,
Obviously registered OHV?
is the V6 Fuel injected?

Greg, You built it....cool, my son and I have played with it for a year or so but want to upgrade. I have never even looked at the paperwork and the guys we bought it from said it was an 88 forerunner at one point in its life. It is cheap fun!

Yeah, I bought it as a stock truck and it went thru some growth spurts while being my daily driver... 35's, then lockers F & R and dual t-cases. Eventually put 37's on (this was over 10 yrs ago, 37's were BIG!) and then cut the top off and caged it out. Someone added quite a bit of tube work after I let it go.

Here's my old Members Ride thread with a few pics... - http://www.rme4x4.com/showthread.php?8491-Gregs-85-Toyota-pickup

Do you remember the name of the guy you got it from? Just curious...

I wish I had the time & money to buy it back, I spent a lot of time working on and driving that truck... it was a fun toy. Glad to hear you've enjoyed it, hopefully I can continue to keep track of it! :D

Greg,
We bought it from two brothers on the east side of Salt Lake. I don't have any record of their names. Thats cool that you had it all that time and have been able to see it again, I don't know of you put the chev engine in it, but it has always been an impressive little engine. runs really good, seems to have more power than it ought to. The truck---not forerunner really--- wheels good for what is has, I am not a great driver or wheeler but have been able to do some cool stuff without hurting myself or the buggy. If you get too melancholy I would give you a hell of a deal. I am trying to buy a buggy out of texas and think the guy selling it getting tired of me. would like to get done pretty quick. Thanks, Greg cool to hear some history.

Interesting, I think you may be the 3rd owner since I got rid of it. It's neat to see that it's still on the trail! I didn't put the Chevy V6 in, when I parted it out I had a Toyota Supra engine under the hood but I didn't get it running. I'd think a 4.3 is a great engine for the size & weight of the truck and the automatic would have been nice!

I wish I could buy it, but I think my wife would leave me... I have too many other toys as is, but I appreciate the offer! Sounds like Jinx has a bother that needs it though, would be awesome to see it stay around here! And for the price, it sounds like a good buy.

Does the NP205 have a gear reduction kit in it? How is the D44 built? Cromoly shafts/u-joints by chance?

What size Iroks are those and tread life left? Are those current pics?
