Toyota Fj40 Question??????

I bought a 1962 FJ40, but it has different door frames from all other fj40's that i have seen, from the side it almost looks like a fj25. I was just wondering if someone on here knows anything about this?

They didnt make a 20 series in 62. Plus it has a tag on the body that says Fj40L 1962.

so weird , because the doors look like a 20 series. But the years dont match up. do the vins match on body and frame ?

I have not looked at the vin on the frame but the tag on the body looks legit and it say fj40 1962... Now i am confused

I'd ask the dudes on IH8mud.com, they've got a couple of forums dedicated to the old FJ's.

That's like the difference between a CJ5 & a CJ7 in the door opening location, but the rest looks identical! But then I'm no expert!!

Its a standard 40, definitely not an FJ25 (1959 & older). Pre-1963 40's had that style of door opening, the split hood (with chrome ornament), dual motor wipers, vented w/s, etc. Neat 40. What did you have to give for it?
