I know toys are great and all but how many miles is to many miles? Im looking at this 96 land cruiser and it has 293K miles but is in great shape. It books out for way more than he is asking even with the miles. Im just very hesitant to buy something with those kind of miles. This is going to be my daily driver and only family vehicle so it has to last. I just know nothing about cruiser or i should say toys at that.

I think you subliminally answered your own question. :-\
ya i know kind of a dumb question:shawn:.....but i have heard of people having 4-500K and still runs great. I just dont know whats to high for toys:confused: Im still not sure i can get my self to swallow 300k miles. I am just hoping to stay away from suburbans and stuff:rofl: we just need something to seat 7

That's pretty damn high, even for a Toyota. The engine may be strong, but what about the transmission, all the bearings & seals in the axles, etc, etc?

My Lexus LX450 (same as the 80 Series Land Cruisers) has just shy of 200k and it's solid, but will be needing some engine attention soon. Depending on how healthy my engine is on the inside will tell if it's good with just a head gasket & rebuilt head or a complete engine rebuild.

Another thing to consider... parts & labor are quite spendy for 80's, take that into consideration when you're looking at a 300k Land Cruiser.
