I need help identifying and getting value of a toyota transfer case and transmission. I bought some stuff at a local auction and got this. I thought it went to early 90s four runner since that was written on it. But I had someone facebook message me telling me it was out of a landcruiser and worth more than my asking price($250) can anyone help me?

Not an expert but that offset driveshaft makes me think Land Cruiser, and that shift knob makes me think 80 series, because the 60 didn't have full time 4WD.

That definitely did not begin life in a 4Runner of any stripe.

100% Land Cruiser HF2 full-time. An unknown condition transmission core isn't worth a whole lot in my opinion, I'll give you a few more if you want them :D The T-case however we would $350 for as a core. Let me know if you want to re-home it.
Thank you for the reply.

I would love to re-home it. It is currently keeping my pallet grounded. I live out in roosevelt. And currently unsure when I will head out to the "front"

I'm curious, does that have both an encoder shift motor as well as a shift lever? Or how does that work?

For the t-case? The range is manually shifted via external linkage which is pictured. There is a center differential lock on that particular model (for AWD functionality) that is electronically shifted, and that's the shift motor you're seeing. This model t-case has 4H, N, 4L and the center diff lock.

That looks like it's from an early (91-92) 80 series Land Cruiser to me - no viscous coupler in the t-case tail housing, and the starter bulge on the bellhousing looks right for a 3F-E engine.

So, it'd likely be an A440F transmission and an HF2A transfercase.

If you’re just going to throw out wild guesses, this place loses all its value

100% it's a 1/90-8/92 FJ80. HF2A, 80 CDL actuator (100/470 doesn't have harness) and 3F bell-housing.
