I used to have a bottle opener in my garage.....I think I threw it out when I remodeled.

Kurt, you could build your own hot water shower out of an old heat exchanger/heater core and a propane burner! You're already carrying propane, it would be easy to do. That way you're not sucking fumes running your Cruiser when you're showering (in the case of onboard shower), you could even plumb a mechanical temp gauge into it so you know when its ready.

I told you it would bounce around when being towed over rough terrain!! Loose a leaf or two and add some shocks.

A sink would be sweet....wait for the fall yard cleanups, look for a small metal sink someone is throwing out. 12v pump could handle the sink and the shower. It would be cool if all of the accessories could fold out of the inside into position. How about a table that folds out? Tailgates are required for camping, but they are never enough. How about a lawn chair rack on the back? Mini bike rack?

Way to go...

Lets make out heat exchangers! I have read a ton about making the setups over the years... lets finally do it!

I knew it would, but it really isn't that bad.... I wouldn't hesitate to take it out again without shocks... but that being said... anyone have some old duble eyed shocks, and mabey a swaybar?

Yup, looked when our neighborhoods did theirs, couln't find much... we did find the propane connections and an old Rossingol snowboard... :D

If I can find a CHEAP roofrack that is exactly what I plan to use it for, a camp table and my chairs... Otherwise I could always put the table on top of everything else in the trailer...

Good ideas... keep em' coming

:D

This is what I was thinking: Take a heater core, build a box around it out of sheetmetal. Set it down on top of a propane stove, and hook the in an out-lets to a fresh water source and a hose with a shower head on the other side. Hook up 12v electric pump to the inlet side with a switch that is easy to operate and control the pressure. Bingo...

Oh, don't forget to bring a string of christmas lights to plug into your generator to string up above your camp for light (and a festive mood).

A groover... as in a shitter?

Yeah, a groover is a shitter.
Used to just be a large surplus ammocan.
Called a Groover because
1. They put 2 grooves in your a$$
2. You always set them up in a place with a Groovin' view.

Frankly I don't want a pooper anywhere in the vicinity of my trailer... food prep/BBQ stored next to a bucket of poop... I think not... ;)

Any other brilliant ideas?

I am working on the BBQ, food prep, and garbage bag holder... Fuel storage is a $$$ deal, as is the stereo... Any good ideas?

That would be cool... but I really don't have a handy place to mount something like that... I want one of the old wall mount ones... a vintage one would be cool...

Gonna check out ebay!

Another idea is a solar panel or 2 to keep the onboard battery charged.

A buddy of mine suggested that I get a pair of 6 volt Trojan Gel Cell batteries, for my trailer project. These are commonly used in small hydroelectric power systems. These are MONSTER batteris, with something like 2000 Amp hours. Use the Solar to charge em up during the day, and run your ARB fridge and radio all night.

Just another though.
