My adjustable bulletproof hitch that's rated for 22k lbs uses hitch pins so you can flip the ball. should I avoid buses of nuns and babies?

That is the load rating of half two 5/8" grade 5 hitch pins so I'd assume they rated it based on the pin shear strength (assuming double static load as the dynamic load limit).

There are certainly smarter people than me on here. I doubt you'll exceed that with your setup. But still avoid the nuns and babies lol.

Mine had one bolt and one pin in when I got it. I replaced with grade 8 bolts. It definitely pinches it when tightened down - doesn't move at all.

I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to visit a trailer store and see @rholbrook at the same time.. 2 of my favorite things together!
This coupler is new to me. I don’t think I trust the plastic lever.. but we will see how long it lasts.



Going back to the hitch pin idea.. do you think removing the nuts and drilling a hole through the current bolts to insert a pin clip would be better, worse, or no difference that using hitch pins again??

My guess is no difference if they are classed pins. Bolts are probably better if they were just Harbor Freight pins.
