Trailer wiring harness (Converter or no)

Vehicle side.
Im looking at trailer (T) harnesses .

Started reading about the converter types and about how they can malfunction or get hot/fire.
I guess they serve a purpose. To help with the additional load from the trailer light's.
Converter or no converter ???

I've put T-harnesses in before but have noticed the lights no longer blink when locking the vehicle via fob. Weird.

Here's what im concerned about.
And what I've been told is there is no other harness (without converter) for the KK jeep.
