has anyone tried or heard reviews on the notcher that Eastwood offers?

The reviews on Eastwood's own website don't sound too promising. The clamp style and overall construction don't look much different from the HF one. http://www.eastwood.com/pipe-notcher-holds-up-to-2-dia-round-tubing.html

i don't mind the fact that i'll have to mod my hf one right out of the gate, it was $45. i already see that it needs to be shim'd to line up right but i'm okay with that. i might even attach it to my drill press, we'll see.

again with the fact that i'm only hoping to get one cage build out of it, buying one for $200 or more would have been silly. when i help my friends build cages and stuff i will just tell them that they will have to buy their own notcher and hole saw and that's still not a bad deal for them.

i've also never notched with a grinder or chop saw (i had the ol' joint jigger notcher before) but was reading about it yesterday on PBB. i'm intrigued.

Looks almost identical. I wonder if it's made by JD2 and re-branded. If so, that's a great deal.

I think I read somewhere that JD2 does not make it, Woodward just copied it.
