tubing bender

i want to purchase a bender. what kinds do you guys have? i dont want to spend a lot of money, just need one that can do some bends to screw around with

a real bender and one die will run ya about $550-$600...dont even mess around with the HF pipe bender with tubing. If you are gonna do it, do it right...I have the JD2 one, Herzog could tell you more about mine than I can but the little bit I have used mine its been great. The other ones to look at are the pro-tools and the M-tech one. All the same basic design but just slightly different in their own way. There are some you can get off ebay and such that are an ok deal if you dont plan to have any bends that are more than 90*...the others I mentioned can all do 180* bends.

I have used jd2 model 3's and model 4's a lot, like them both, but I own the model 3. I prefer the model 3 and it is cheaper.

I have the pro-tools and have never had any problems with it. It is the only bender i have used, but i really like it.

Another vote for the JD2. I converted mine to hydro for little or nothing just scrounging parts when I found them. (NPS etc.)
