I've got the HF tool, and I managed to break an ear off one of the shafts. Then out of a fit of rage, I broke the other ear and hucked the shaft across the garage. I've found it easier to just use a hammer. :sick:

Why are axle u-joints such a pain to get off. my jeep kicked my butt when I did them and now I need to change them in my 3/4 dodge An dthey are a lot bigger think it will be easier or harder

Got a call from john today...

he would do the group thing for $200+14 shipping. This is versus the $289 retail...

anyone in? post here or PM me...

Oh, so that is what that is. I've already got one but could'nt figure what it was for. My Dad left me with some stuff that I don't have a clue what it's for. :rofl: :eek:

i managed to bend an ear on a d60 shaft with the HF ball joint press, my local driveline shop taught me the "hammer and vice" method. the hammer and vice method works much better. i also have a vice on a receiver, and i also carry a spare front and rear shaft. and in the past 2 years i have twisted 6 driveshafts. most of them i hit on a rock and then twisted.
