Rumor of U4WDA agreeing with SUWA announced.
Rumor is spreading that the U4WDA has agreed to the ARRWA as proposed by SUWA. An anonymous source says that U4WDA will agree to SUWA’S proposal to over 9 million acres of Wilderness if SUWA will exclude only 100 acres from their proposal. More to follow.

Due to the fact that this is April Fools Day I am trying to find out the facts. So far I have confirmed that U4WDA had their BOD meeting last night and passed some new resolutions. SUWA has not confirmed that they have met with a U4WDA member but this is common knowledge.

Someone that knows Senator Hinchey (D) NY says that if this is true the Senator would be able to retire knowing that he had done something for the State of Utah and all Americans. No mention was made of Illegal Aliens. According to Seeda Deed of SUWA there is not any Wilderness or Wildlands in Utah that are not within a mile or so of a road. This may explain something but not sure what.

One rumor has been established as fact. Ron Tolman will be heading up a mapping group in conjunction with Beaver and Iron County officials starting April 18, 2011 and U4 members/clubs and individuals are encouraged to help. More information will follow. It would also seem to be to an advantage to BLM as they would not have to spend money fighting lawsuits in the state.

The facts are out, SUWA has agreed to keep all roads open in wilderness areas and U4WDA has agreed that everything that is not a road or that will become a road is wilderness. Do the math, one acre is 43,560 Sq. Ft., a road is approximately 20 FT. wide, so 43,560x10000 acres = 435,600,000 divided by 20 = 21,780,000 ft. of roads divided by 5280 = 4,125 miles of roads in wilderness areas that would be available to off road use. As it turns out all we have to do is convince Suwa. Happy April Fools Day.
