Yes. Yes. They knew about it at the gate. It's right at the start of the narrows, about 100 yards before the big rock on the right... look down.

How far down is it? Could someone climb down there and hook a winch cable to it?

I'd have to guess 150 ~ 200 feet, yes someone could climb down but there will have to be some straps involved. I'm going to try and have my winch rigged by this weekend... I'll have 125' of cable....

I'm going to try and head up Thursday to see if it's still there. If we have the equipment to remove it, we can get the LEO's on the District to close the road while we do the recovery.

Anyone here into rapelling?

We'll take a look, and if it's safe it'd be a fun recovery!

This is still on, don't let the weather scare anyone away! The next two days are going to be nice!

If the side hill isn't muddy it could be walked. Looks like I'm out of time to get the winch wired, since I only have part of tomorrow to put my front axle back together and put my new tierod on.

Yeah don't worry about the winch, get that your blazer operational first. I know of at least two other guys with winches. We can string together some tow ropes if we need more length.

Well today was a 14 hour day but shortly after the sun went down I pounded in the Magyver'd spring bushing.... so I'm good to go.... now if you would just put this off until 11am so I didn't have to get up at 5am to go to work

It was a nice day and we all got a lot done. I had a great time. Big thanks to those that helped out and organized it as well.
