frank mir vs brock lesnar(the wrestler???)
im thinking lesnar is going to get his ass handed to him in a dogie bag. mir is going to break his arm(ala tim silvia), or leg, or neck!!!

tim silvia vs antonio nogueira
im tired of seeing silvia fight. im just not that impressed.hopefully we get a good fight out of him this time around.

jeremy horn vs nate marquardt

and a bunch of other fights that might not be shown.

I'll get it in HD. I'll never watch another UFC fight if it's not in HD.

The Mir/lesner fight is kind of interesting. Don't forget that Lesner was a 4 time NCAA all American wrestler and a national champion. The on discipline that crosses over well into MMA is wrestling. Just ask Olli.

Lesner has also been busting his ass training in grappling full time for 2 years. It's hard to say what could happen. But I do hope that Mir taps him out.

I also hope Timmie gets hurt. I hate that guy.

ARGH!

I'm leaving for the (#)&$#(@!# oilfields again on Friday.... OR AM I?!?! Hmmm

Nogueira got his ass handed to him by Fedor Emilianenko, but supposedly that was Fedor's toughest opponent.... I'd like to see that one. The Mir fight should be good if Mir is back in shape. Haven't seen much lately.

I don't like Sylvia either, he just bugs me. Big lumbering 'tard... but somehow he wins fights. *shrug*

Yeah, I'm down if I'm home! Sweet!

Nogueira lost to Fedor 2x's, and Josh Barnett once (which he avenged), and Dan Henderson 8 years ago. So 3 of his 4 losses come from top 3 HW's in the world, and the other to a top 3 LHW early in his career. I don't see too much shame in those defeats. you can't fault a guy for losing to the best fighter on the planet 2x's. I also wouldn't necessarily say he had his ass handed to hiim either--he did take him to a decision on both of his fights (OK, they faught 3x's but the 2nd was called because of an accidental cut). Big Nog is 10x's the fighter as Timmie and I hope it shows....but he didn't look to great against Herring.

Who knows. These Pride guys that are supposed to be running people over sure aren't amounting to much. Cro Crop, Hendo, Silva, Rua, etc are all getting run over. Rampage is the only one that has done well and he arguably got a lucky shot in on Chuck. I think it comes down to these guys not being able to be all roided up in the American fight scene. Every one of them has seamed smaller and more timid than in their previous fights.

As for Mir, ya thats true. Mir has looked like **** in every fight since his accident. If he can come back at 75% of what he used to be, he would be tought to handle for any heavyweight.

Yeah, that's totally true. Those were tough fights, not at all one-sided.

I've been especially disappointed in CroCop. He's just getting mowed down by relative nobodys! They DO seem timid, out of their element or something.

they blame it on the cage, but I don't buy that for a second. There were very few steroid tests in Japan and it's funny that most of them waited 6-12 months to make their first appearance in the cage and when they did they looked much smaller than they did before.....hmmm whats going on there.

Fedor is a bigger dude, but he could probably drop to LHW. He's about the same size as Couture

Fedor is a bad-ass. He's never really been tested, but he runs through people. He doesn't look like the typical roided up fighter either--he looks like me only tough (and a little bigger). Have you seen the video when Randleman slammed him on his head, and it didn't even faze him? Crazy.

Another bitchin fight we didn't get to see here was Gomi vs. Diaz. You tube that thing, best fight I've ever seen.

I watched some crazy training video a while back with all the Emilianenko's on it... Freakin' old school Russian training madness: engine blocks with pipes welded to them to lift LOL Running all over the place, full contact sparring/grappling...

I d/l'ed the Keiron video compilation. When I'm feeling down, I watch it and it makes me happy again. He's like a spooky Russian bear-monster, just mushing people. There's one where CroCop throws a kick, he catches it and pops him right in the mouth, it's MINT.

I heart Fedor.

I totally missed Jeremy Horn on the card. That looks like a good fight!

i call mir in the first round or early in the second round.

i cant wait to see lesnar run across the octagon slongshoting himself off the cage and closeline mir in the middle of the ring. then climb on to the top of the cage and do some kind of flying deathdrop on mirs chest.:rofl:

but seriously, you have to hand it to the guy for moving on to a real fight from the made for tv fights he is used to.

This wont be Lesnar's first MMA fight, I guess he fought in some other organization and the dude he fought got hit once and ran away and tapped out.

So i'm betting he wasn't very experienced or any good, nothing like fighting Mir i'm sure. So Lesnar does have an MMA record of 1-0, but i hope he gets his arm broken!

Silvia thinks he's good enough that he doesn't even have to fight in his fights, all his fights of recent he hasn't hardly even fought. I'm counting on him getting his ass handed to him.

Min Soo Kim:confused:

maybe im just ignorant (very likely) but min soo kim means nothing to me.

i was somewhat impressed with the video. he seems a lot faster than i would have thought. and those looked like some heavy fists.
he may have some "fan favorite" potential. (if he does well)

Ya, Min Soo Kim. It means "soup can" in Chinese I think. That guy is/was a joke.

EDIT: man, I just watched that video again. I keep forgetting how freaking enormous that guy is.
