The way I understand the rules, is that the lap you are currently running counts under a full course yellow, but no more than that one. Once you cross Start/Finish under the lap that had a full course yellow, no more laps count until the green flag comes back out.

One thing that I thought would be more disputed in the main event was the fact that Sacalas and nearly everyone else short coursed on the rocks when Nick Campbell and another rig both went belly up in the crack.. Pretty sure it was Sacalas who blazed the way technically off the course to get around the stuck rigs.
Thanks for the link benjy i was wondering how casey did since he is the only racer in that race i know, sounds like a bad judgement call at the event i wonder if they will fix it so he has the proper points for the season
^ This. I won't get into it but there were plenty of teams that were unhappy with mid-race rule changes and fishy lap counting. I know Dave does his best to have a solid venue but I honestly think a few of the people counting laps weren't up to the task.
From what I understood you can finish your lap if on the short course and it counts even on a full course yellow. I rolled my car trying to keep jesse haines behind me. He just drove right pass me after my mistake but stayed on course, all of the competitors behind us, we were leading the pack, quickly staked up behind me but they never cut the course like Sacalas. Jesse then got all of his short course laps in while I was being recovered creating a traffic jam for the other cars.
