Unable to post picture from Photbucket

I have a direct link (http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j...C-A22C-4AAB-92AB-835687A4506C_zpsemxi2xzr.jpg) I am trying to use to post a picture. I select the Insert Image icon, click on the From URL tab, and paste my link in the text box and leave the option to retrieve the remote file. When I click OK, it gives me the error below (uploading directly from my computer obviously works just fine).

Yup, pasting the IMG tags directly works...

Not sure if it has anything to do with it but try changing it to https.

Never mind, just tried it and it too failed. Looks like it's a long standing issue with Photobucket and VBulletin. This guy has the same problem back to 2011 and I found references back to 2008.

One of my build threads is on PB and is at 70% . Sometimes I have issues and sometimes not. I think I will get my PC looked at soon.
So what else are you guys using for photo uploads ? I'll need to get something just for my trip reports , which I plan to bombard RME with soon.

I use smugmug.com for photos and videos. Great (modern) features and designs with no ads. Plus the guy that started it also owns advrider.com, so I'm happy to support them.

Same here, love it. Yes, it costs to use it and it's not cheap, but I have a TON of photo's (high resolution) and their site is never down.
