Update on Status 4 you all....

So at any rate I started last year building a jeep with the students in my high school shop. Well for those that followed the build the very end of the year I got the axe. I am not sure why no reason was given so at any rate I have spent the last month trying to figure things out.

As of now I have not found a job. We are now living with my mother and my jeep is in parts. The frame is at a welding shop, the body is all out at a ranch, the engine in in my blazer, the tranny in storage shed, and axles are 90 miles away in Craig. I have applied for over 40 jobs and have only gotten 1 interview. This next week I am going to add tanker endorsements, and hazmat endorsements to my CDL. That should at least get me a job, but it is hard to step away from my profession of 10 years and go back to driving truck. It will be fine but just a huge bummer.

Wish me luck. We are moving into a house this next week. Luckily my wife makes good money and I am covered under her insurance. So far I have been a stay at home dad. It has saved use almost 500 in daycare, but I am gaining weight and going nuts..... Love my kids but hate being home all the time and when I am not working I feel like I should not be doing anything...

UGGHHHH!!!! Hope I get something soon.

Best of luck, it really did suck to hear about you losing your teaching job actually teaching those kids real life skills.

I have been working evenings while my wife works during the day. I stay home with my two boys (16month and 3month old), I know exactly what you're talking about! Kids are harder than my paying job right now. Good luck, and keep talking with people.

I got my current job after being laid off as a framer and it was the most random thing. I am a firm believer in the 'It's all about who you know' philosophy.

That is bad news, sorry to hear it.

Good luck finding a job, I know I would go nuts not working.
I was off for 3 weeks between jobs a couple of years back, I had a job but had to wait to start.
