Yep, you totally had it on Rocker Knocker. Once that passenger side rear tire is up on the second ledge, you've got it made. You just needed to turn hard left, and ease it over to where the driver's front tire would climb. It would have been scary, but even Greg did it, so.... :D

XJ's can even make that......

I've known some to do it (the next time I saw them, they were 'remodeled', though). I'm sure Herzog did it with his :D

Nope, never got a chance to take my xj through helldorado.... but it did get wedged in a few times on Upper Proving Grounds  thanks to Carl and Braden for dragging me through that one. :D

Yup... You were right there, believe it or not. Look at all of these pictures. This same day we got about 12 people up rocker knocker in about 30 minutes. It had to be the fastest I have ever seen anyone get up it. Most made it up on their first attempt. But if you look at all of the pictures, look where every body's tires are - all the same place and in the same place you were at when you backed out. Granted, it's real easy to play 'arm chair qauterback', but....

Anyway, you get the idea.... I used to sit there and mess around on it and finally give up and take the 'bypass'. Then I watched someone do it once to see they practically put it on it's side to get in the right line.

Anyone that has wheeled with me knows I'll drive my TJ on its side floored to make an obstacle.....knocker wasn't happening.

It was 103 when we pulled into the canyon and everything was slick as snot. Tim was revving 6k in hisTJ on 40s to get up rocker knocker.

We didn't see one jeep or 4x4 on a trail (bfe included) all weekend aside from three toyota guys from washington. They hadn't seen anyone either so, we never saw anyone else go up that obstacle.

I wont be sad If I never run that trail (pritchett) ever again. Overall, Moab was a great trip (hells revenge) and the traction on the sandstone was awesome. However, a majority of the trails were miles of boredom and a few white knuckle obstacles every now and then.

I will be visiting Area BFE and Cedar City again for sure though!

I hear ya.. I like Moab, but only from about September to May (November to March is even better), any other time it's just too hot and miserable, really.

That is sad to hear you didn't like Pritchett canyon..........That is 1 of my favorite trails ever! And like everyone said you had the right line on rocker knocker! You can't tell me that you didn't like the waterfall and HUGH Ledges right before Rocker knocker?? What about Rock Pile? and the 3-4 BIG obsticals around there? Then when you get to the top of Yellow Hill you turn around a run everything backwards! Driving down Rocker Knocker is More of a rush then goin up it!! (atleast for you first time)
Pritchett is long ........but well worth the time! I hope you change you mind and give it another chance! Maybe when its a little cooler!

Yeah maybe your right. We are used to wheelin in the south but, it was still pretty hot and we were beat up by then and ready to get on the road.

We did as much as we could we the time allowed and probably missed out on some great trails because of it.

Area BFE seemed to have the technical trails with big rocks that we really dig running.

Out of all of the Moab trails, Pritchett is by far my favorite. When I say Moab trails, I'm not reffering to BFE. That place is new to me, so I have no opinion of it yet.
