They no longer call them a Desert Eagle, They call em a ground shaker. They are so funny to shoot. When you touch it off the dust about 8 to 10 feet in front of you jumps in the air from the muzzle blast. OOOOOOOOO doggy Hang on to that baby. LOL>

You know I solicit support for our organization every day; I also want to make it perfectly clear that our organization has 3 full time paid staff members. This is my job I do it 50+ hours a week, I know a thing or two about many of the problems we discuss on this awesome website. I can also say I have had a number of conversations with Kurt and the guy is as solid as they come.

I don’t want to get into a lengthy response but in short we have approached many local businesses. All I can figure is people are busy, and tight with their cash. Even those we know have it. Some businesses/people simply wont donate others give us a lot of lip service, no action, no money, nada.

My point with UROC, is let’s say they charge 16 bucks for a ticket to get into supercrawl. I would propose the ticket vendors ask each purchaser if they would like to donate 1 buck to help fight for responsible motorized access. The donation is optional and I would hope that many people would take the chance, yes people are amazingly tight. I would love it if UROC would just charge 17 bucks and give USA-ALL the extra dollar, but I doubt they would be willing to do it. Yes, I am thinking out loud here but we will contact them about his very subject. You see part of the problem is we / I don’t have allot of time, we’re pretty small, I have to wear many hats, and we are an organization of action and we produce results. I can’t spend all of my time getting donations. At the end of the day I would have a nicer bank account but no track record of results. We have a paid position for helping us with fundraising; we need someone that can go at it full time. If your interested go to our website www.usaall.org You won’t get rich but you will make enough to get by on. trust me I know, it's a labor of love, but at the end of the day it's worth it, and right now there isn’t anything I’d rather be doing, I hope some of you will apply for the opening, we need to fill it quick, we need to see a proven tack record of sales, and preferably an obsession with motorized recreation.

Any way the point is fundraising is not that easy, I know UFWDA is making some big improvements, as have we and we're making some more. I hope all of you that patronize businesses will start asking them if that business supports USA-ALL, if they don’t let them know who we are give them our contact info, if they don’t support us in the future take your business to a place that does support us. We need to start flexing our economic muscles, believe me they are huge! No really, they are huge.

Hey Mike,I helped to get UROC to give us that space and you guys don't use it! What am I to think? :shawn:

Sorry didn’t see this before I replied.Sarge you're breaking my heart, I didnt know you helped with that specifically.

Last fall when I came on board, someone forgot to give me the manual on how to do my job. I had no contacts, nothing to go on but my instincts. To add to the confusion, my first child was born at the end of Sept, my Grandpa died 2 days later, I had a USA-ALL newsletter that was supposed to be out in a few weeks, no clue how to do it, Price DRMP process was in full swing, we had sold our house and were supposed to move, I was a full time student and this was a new job that I had been in only a couple of weeks, and oh yes, USA-ALL had been w/o a Exec. Dir. since Feb. Let me tell you things were a mess. Yeah, it was a little overwhelming. (can you hear the violins yet?) I'm not complaining but really, it was crazy.

At that time I was I was unaware of the working relationship we had with other organizations. It wasnt untill after I had already set a few wheels in motion I found out about how some things had been working.

I actually called Mark P. up and he said he would donate a booth to us. After I had this arranged, I got a call from Todd Adams. He told me we had a booth we could share. SWEET! We had lined one up so we used 2 booth spaces. It worked out pretty good. I was then told later (as in this spring) that UROC allows us to share one at most of their events. This is great, but it does present some challenges. I don’t ever want to cramp UFWDA ability to raise money, I want to be as aggressive at soliciting donations for USA-ALL as possible, and I don’t want to hold back because I am worried I am taking money out of UFWDA's pocket. I think every off roader should be a member of USA-ALL first, UFWDA second and a local club third. But the reality is people are so tight, and shortsighted. Also I have more things to do than most of you would believe. We had a fundraiser (a position that has not worked out well for us in the recent past) that has failed to attend many of these events. It was her job to get out to these things and she failed. For that I am so sorry. I apologize to you if you think we don’t want the space, but with many demands on my time I will only attend the events that my schedule will allow and will bring us the best return. Our fundraiser on the other had should be to every one of them. Let’s face it USA-ALL needs some help. We are stretched to our limit in every way. Any one looking for an occupation change?

Sarge thanks for all your efforts to help USA-ALL and UFWDA. If we could get more people involved like you, things would be very different.
