Very cool!

Who's rig is Dallas Stump in, his own? I guess he & Grady aren't together anymore. I've been out of the Comp loop too long. :-\

I think it's the same as last year, he's driving Craig's rig with Craig spotting.

Word is that Braden broke a yoke on his Atlas, that's why he finished poorly yesterday. (the Atlas didn't break, just the U-joint yoke)

Ahhh... good to hear that they are doing well then.

That sucks about Braden, any idea if he found a replacement yoke?

Haven't heard anything, I'm sorta assuming he did. It was just a 1310 yoke, I don't know how common a 32 spline 1310 yoke is though.

Bummer about Braden's yoke. It's always something.

Anyone hear how it went last night? On Pirate they were mentioning it might have been cancelled.

The Event was cancelled Sat. But they say their are going to make-up the lost day later this year. Whatever thats means?

OK it rain like the dickens down there for over 24 hours.

From what I understand it will be made up in SLC.

It was a safety issue, all around the course the mud was up to 6 inches deep. Tires filled up really quick with mud plus our boots! Not to mention then it would make a person slide off the obsticle.

We broke the pinion yoke on the first obstacle, then drove to Campbell Enterprises to get a replacement and had it back together in time to do the second obstacle! Then we drove off a cliff sideways and broke a heim joint on our front suspension. The resulting lack of axle control caused the pinion to pitch up, pujlling the driveshaft apart, and sending it through the side of the oil pan. We got it all back together and ready to go in time for the second day, but 2" of rain in 24 hours was waaay too much for that course. Cancelling the event, and making up the last half in Salt Lake is the right thing to do.

Great 1 day event.
I don't believe that delaying the event will solve as many problems as it will cause.

1.Teams with different spotters
2.Vehicles running different tires $$ Contingency
3.Teams not able to make it to this make-up day

Just a start and my oppinion

Do you think they should have stopped the event and handed out the trophies at Campbell's Saturday night? Or do you think they should have let us run in the rain? There's no option that's fair to everyone, except maybe running it in the rain, which would have sucked. I can understand being in your position or Craig's how you'd want the event to be over. I didn't pay $575 bucks to run three obstacles (two). I want to finish the event, in conditions conducive to rockcrawling. I enter these things because they're fun and I like to run the obstacles. For that reason I want to run three more!

Congratulations Craig and Dallas!
From the UROC forum:

Yes, After a conversation and further review of the Current Rules, The Pheonix Event is over and the Winners are who they are ( Sorry, I really don't know).

However, We will be looking into another clause for the inclement weather section to require at least half of ALL planned courses/obstacles be run to consider it a Full event. Exact wording must still be worked out, But expect this to be changed ASAP.

Wow...I thought that was what I saw...

One of the softest compounds out there if it was one from the original batch.
Would I be wrong in guessing that they were because you were obviously hooking up well.
