Yup, either the ball broke, or something else (similar) came apart--and beaned at least one guy in the forehead. There were two people down on the ground, so maybe two dead? At least one, anyway. So yeah....there's a lot of energy there, be careful with it.

Yea, that was an unfortunate accident! I never stand close to a strap or cable when under load.
