......or the 30-378....talk about a KICK to shoot....you can load these to shoot about as fast as a .17 Rem......but .30 cal.... :D
I used to have a 7mm mag Browning BLR. I loved the gun, but it just wasn't much fun to shoot. I think my next gun will be another Browning BLR but in a 22-250 or 223.

....the .17 Rem will smoke it......as far as long distance accuracy goes and speed.. ;)

 How do you figure? T.O.F.? the .204 is faster with a heavier bullet... how does the .17 Rem "smoke it"? the fastest load I show for the .17 is with a 24.5 Gr. bullet @ 4123 FPS. The .204 shows a 32 grain, V-MAXTM bullet with a velocity of 4,225 feet per second. Both are at the muzzle.
Hell, my .243 almost smokes the .17 with a 55 Gr bullet an average Chrono @ 4055 FPS

When compared directly with either the 22-250 Remington or the 220 Swift, the 204 RUGER offers higher muzzle velocity and flatter trajectory. Because the 204 cartridge achieves a higher velocity with less propellant than either the 22-250 Remington or the 220 Swift, this new cartridge does not compromise barrel life.

did anyone actually ever go out after coyotes? I have had a really good year called close to 30 so far this year.

Even bought a new AR so I can rapid fire em....

As for the caliber choice, it is hard to beat a 22-250, the Tac-20 is a good choice, but I love my 24" .223 AR.
