anyone on here do it? Need to get a bid
I've heard this same thing about Best Vinyl, many times.Avoid Best Vinyl. They were 100% incompetent when they did mine a couple years ago. It took them over a year to finish the job, and the only reason they did was because we hadn't paid them.
If you do decide to use Best Vinyl, DO NOT PAY ANYTHING UP FRONT!
Our fence looks okay, but only because I had them redo several parts of it until they got it right, and I didn't pay them until it was done to my satisfaction.
I use to install vinyl fence when work was slow. It is very easy to install, save some money and install it yourself. The hardest part is setting the posts. Most companies will even set your posts for you and you can do the rest. Last time I talked to vinyl connection in SLC they were letting homeowners borrow templates to help them set there posts.
That is the part I worried about. I am about a year out, but this is the way I think I will go.
I need a fence, but the cost of this stuff is crazy. I woudl consider doing it myself, but the ground I have is rediculously rocky and I setting those posts in that soil is probably a job best left for someone with the right tools and experience.
As a reference, I dug a parking strip out that was 10 foot by 2 foot, and 4 inches deep. It took me about 12 hours...and I even did half of it in the rain so as to make the ground softer.
I've got a section of fence that I was thinking of using vinyl. Those that have had it done, what did you pay per foot?
Exactly, my ground sucks. I brought in 6" of soil for my yard when I did sod, I also paid someone to come trench my yard for me for my sprinklers. He was able to trench it down to 18" but said my yard was extremely hard and rocky. There's no way I'd want to try and do it on my own without the proper tools and know-how. I'd rather pay someone and have a finished product that looks good.I need a fence, but the cost of this stuff is crazy. I'm renting a Bobcat with a freakin' hammer attachment. There are HUGE rocks. It's about time for "Fence, Wind-Resistant Version Mk2". Apparently 4" gaps between slats aren't enough
Setting the poles is gonna suck.
