Vortec nightmare

hey has anyone installed a vortec motor in there rig and had problems getting it to run because of the anti theft in the computer? what to do to get it to run?

I did a google search for "v6 vortec issues" and read something about it but I forgot what it was. I would try there first. Maybe add (anti theft deactivation).

You can get a non-VATS chip from Howell....Check with them, there may be other ways.

You'll most likely need to get the computer re-programmed ("burn a chip"). There are several companies who can do that for you, my current one was just completed by Jim's Performance.
