Doesn't everybody? I've been lookin', but i ain't paying stupid Dynatrac like prices for one. Extreme axle sales is on east coast and i'd have to ship. That's an option. Maybe there's someone around here that sells reasonably?

Boyce equipment is too $$ for my cheap ass. On the rare occasion i hit junkyards there are none to be found.

My ideal setup is @62 wide, HP, with six lug conversion. Not sure on front locker yet. So who's building these locally and what kinds of prices are out there?

Uh, your neighbor is out that way (Tacoma) and could deliver for you if you hold him close when he gets back. I've got his phone number if you want to get a hold of him out yonder. Shoot me a PM for it.

There was a guy parting out a 76 f350 on the ksl classifieds that claimed it had the high pinion 60.
if it truely was a 76 then there is a good chance it would be low pinion (yep, in a ford) and closed knuckle. Not worth much more then you could scrap it for.

Buy a center section from (anyone aftermarket) and have the axle tubes pressed in and make your own! The centers aren't that much, tubes aren't that much and the outers you can buy from back east and not pay near as much for shipping as a whole axle. To get down to 62" you will have to have it cut any ways and have new shafts made.

Pro 60 HP center 795.00
tubes used to be around 200-250 (don't know now)
Chomo axle shafts 350.00
outers (guessing) about 600-700 can get a whole axle for 650.00 so....
gears, locker, joints, brakes, sure adds up fast but still cheaper than a full on Dynatrac!
