I’m in dire need of a transfer case for my 99 wrangler. Mine just gave up the ghost in dramatic fashion... NP231 I believe is the correct one if anybody has a working one for an affordable price I’d be extremely grateful.

Advance Adapters has a really good NP231 replacement program. ?

I like the idea of the AW4 swap. It may be required when we dig into the damage.

In other news, a corner of the engine block was also damaged.

I'll have to see if I can find the place that repaired the cast on one of my motors that had a busted motor mount attach point on a 4.0

He actually has all the access to welding tools, knowledge and supplies he needs to repair it, It's just getting it into the garage to do the work. Funny thing is, that's the same corner that came off of the old engine when it blew up. Wish I would have held on to the piece that I was kicking around the faesfe for 9 months.

What did he do?

His rear driveshaft was in dire need of replacement. The slip shaft was seizing up. It pretty much donkey-punched the t-case and bound up the gears when the case caved in. He said it was LOUD. ?
