Way back machine question, Curt Hildebrand...

Back in the good days of UROC (pre Patey's, probably 2002ish) Curt drove an aluminum tubbed Jeep. Does anyone have picture of this Jeep? I could have sworn it was dove tailed, may have been a YJ and I am thinking the front clip was a lime green color. The rear was raw aluminum color.

For bonus points, does anyone know who made this tub?

Thanks :D

I know exactly what rig you are talking about, it is on the Hammer Down 2 video that Thor Wixom did, if I remember right, the whole tub was narrowed, and I remember the lime green hood. White roll cage too correct?

Cool, I'll have to dust off the old HD2 DVD :D That would be the rig.

Kurt, it could be, I haven't been to Teraflex for years.

Hmmm back then it would have been probably.. that one company that was making all those Jeep tubs LOL damnit I can't remember the name. Not Aqualu, the other one.

I can't remember who it was, but they made a bunch of bodies. I want to say Chris Durham was running one, and one of the magazines did an article...

A HA!! I dug through my box O stickers and found the flyer I got from EJS i wanna say in '03-'04? the company was called JP off-road.

it reads "CJ aluminum body tubs & accessories"
"we sell hardbodies"
*handmade aluminum bodies
*appox. 30% stronger than steel
*race proven design
*built for the extreme
*street/competition ready
*will not rust
*pricing comparable to fiberglass/steel

"why settle for glass, when you can be stronger than steel"
