We adopted a baby!

A week ago sunday, a friend from out of town and I were eating lunch. He said his step daughter was thinking of adopting out her new baby, three days later, he was ours. We were not even close to being ready for a baby.
We had just got approved for adopting throught LDS Family Services three weeks earlier. The little boy was born easter sunday and weighed 10 lbs 13 oz's at birth. No more sleep for a while!:ugh:

Congrats. I think adoption is one of the most beautiful things in life. Especially in the world we live in this day and age.

What are you going to name him?

Very cool, Congrats. I've never heard of an adoption going through that fast. It was meant to be. He has the same birthday as my son. : )

Congrats!!!! VERY AWESOME!! We know how hard that process can be....When it is meant to be, things have a way of falling into place.
