I spent the weekend up at a friend's cabin in Weber Canyon. Saturday we saddled up the horses and headed up the beautiful Main Fork Canyon. Along the way we came up on a young bull moose about 10-15 yards from us. He just kind of stood there and stared at us. We tied the horses up on the edge of a meadow where they usually spot elk, moose, and the occassional bear. We hung out there for awhile, then headed back. After we'd had some lunch back at the cabin we loaded up the ATV's to take a ride up Slater's Ridge. This is a cool ride with great scenic views. I was abit bummed that we didn't spot any more moose on this ride, but oh well... there's always the next time. I popped of some rounds through my old .22, and tore the trash out of lemonade can... it had it coming anyways, it was sugar free... great time up the canyon... and i wanted to share with you all... i highly recommend going to adventure through some of those canyons. The Slater's Ridge trail would handle a stock suv, and would make for a great afternoon activity... check it out some time...
