Weber Carb Emission Question

For us po folks who use their Jeeps as daily drivers here is a question. If I install a Weber on my CJ7, will it have any problems passing Utah emissions test? I want to upgrade from my Wally Mart Carter Carb to the Weber. I have searched this on the web but haven't found a clear answer. Thanks for any help.

What year is the Jeep, and what county are you in? 84 and newer, and you're at their mercy. Done right, most wont notice though.

I have the same question for a 83 CJ in SL county as well. I know there is a cut off so my 83 has less requrements. What emmissions components does the weber support, and what pieces are the problems?

If things haven't changed, 83 is the cut off point. In a nut shell, 83 and older, long as it passes, is good. 84 and newer, has to be stock or newer. ie, a 4.0 in an 84 is fine. Mine was an 84. I found it easier just to buy an older tub with a title, and switch the vin's (I didn't say that out loud though)
