Weep with me: Bauer is no more

I went to the dump today, which overlooks Bauer, and saw a horrible thing:

Bauer has been bulldozed.


The warehouses and the big brick lab building are gone, as are some of the smaller buildings closeby. The remnants of the garage/powerplant are still standing, and a few of the other houses, but not much is left. I couldn't see if the crane was still there or not. Also, the metal tank at the entrance is gone.

I should say that Bauer is technically private property and as such, they can do what they like with it, but it's a real shame to see it wrecked like that. :( :(

Kurt, could be... I haven't been there since maybe October? Maybe earlier.
EDIT: they bulldozed the office and the assay lab a while ago, after it was set on fire...

Caleb-- Bauer was a pretty neat old ghost town just before the Stockton Bar... almost all the buildings were still standing. I have heard that in the 70's, the assay office was still stocked with equipment... :( Some retards burned it down a few years ago. The brick lab building was great! and now it's gone too. :(

Ah, gotcha. Bummer to see old sites like this destroy.

Yeah, I've been wanting to play for some time now. I also have 2 teenage boys that would play depending on the weekend. Where have you guys been going?

We occasionally play indoors at Paintball Addicts but we much prefer outdoors. We go down by Saratoga, either by Israel Canyon or Pelican Bay (right along the lake). We played last weekend and the weather was awesome, we may be playing again this weekend if you're interested.

Bummer, it was a cool place close to town. I spent a month out there shoveling tailings one week years ago.

Makes me wish I had never got rid of my paintball stuff...I played all the time, but when my dad, and my buddies got out of it, I didnt have anyone to play with, so I gave it up!:(:(:(:( MAN I MISS THAT SPORT!!!
