Weezer, and local musicians invited to play?

Who knows the details of this concert where local musicians can qualify to play with the band. Sounds like a potential musical cluster f**k to Me, but that may be the whole "concept".

The reason I ask is because my 12 year old son was chosen for one of the spots for the concert next Tuesday.

Thanks, but you can go easy on the "way to go"s... I honestly don't think they're being very selective, which is why I'm wondering how this whole thing is gonna work, ya know?

Sure, he's a drummer (well, duh), but I think he's gonna play a brass instrument, and he is less experience in that area.

Regardless, just getting free tickets to a concert should be fun for him.

From what i've heard on X96, no, they are not exactly looking for any quality musicians... They had people call in and play for 10 seconds.. if they made noise that sounded somewhat like a song, they were chosen..

What I meant was X96 has very little standard for who they chose... Not that people that get on have no talent.. Sadly, it seems that X96 is just letting almost anyone on.. I'm sure there'll be a mix of decent, good and not-so-good musicians
