when all else fails...READ INSTRUCTIONS!!! if you look under the door on the welder i should tell you depending on what your doing! at least mine does!

Mine is usually around 20 CFM

20 - 25 CFM.
Too much = too much spatter; too little = weld contamination, porous welds. Just find your sweet spot.

on a side note i use 50/50 and i believe mine is at 25 too

That's where I run but I'm on straight CO2 if it makes a difference.

Mine is at 30 and I get a nice weld on thicker steel with it that high.

The purpose of the gas is to keep porosity out of the weld. Higher settings don't hurt anything, but you will fill your bottle much more often.
