Im not political by any means but tonight I went to my first caucus. It was a great learning experience and a way to get my vote to count.
Any others out there.?

As an independent, I could have participated in the democratic caucus, but not interested enough in either democratic contender to bother. A socialist vs. an oligarch. Hard to get excited about that...

Not that I'm that interested in either of the 'publican outfit choices, either. An arrogant, pompous, windbag King oligarch ass vs. a "god told me to do it" real believer who would literally base policy on belief in the supernatural. Guess that's why I've never signed up with either outfit. Hate the democrats and republicans about equally.

Personally, I see no hope in this cycle. Lose-lose. Effed either way. Nothing but dark clouds. Historically bad presidency coming. Etc., etc., etc....

Maybe, a longshot, would take a miracle, but just maybe, the total implosion and re-birth of the republican party might yield tangible benefit. Yeah. Right... Be interesting to watch, I guess.

That's about the upside of this cycle, to my admittedly jaded, cynical, burnt out, don't believe a word any of them says, know as a middle class working producer I'm getting effed in the butt no matter what citizen...

I certainly don't think that is an accurate depiction of Cruz. It's an opinion and I get it, but he has forgotten more about policy than any of us will ever know. I believe policy choices based upon the constitution are pretty reasonable. I am more hopeful, but to each his own.

Good for you Modstock, I think going to a caucus is a great learning experience. Idaho used to have them, but had an open primary this year and increased participation by about 30%.

Have you looked into Gary Johnson with the Libertarian Party?

I'm with you. I think governmental authority is a fairy tale that far too many people believe in. It's literally a cult mentality. I refuse to support any democratic or republican candidates.
Vote for your next master! "Lengthen my leash but shorten it for others!"

I have a feeling you'd be into Larken Rose. Maybe even some writings of Murray Rothbard... ;)

Was thrilled with the turn out in our precinct. I remember a few years ago meeting in a living room with about 10 people present.

Had about 110 on Tuesday.

As far as the election, was thrilled to see Trump loose badly. Personally started as a Rubio supporter, and after he dropped out voted and spoke at the cacus for Kasich.

Once the general election rolls around, if the dreaded Hillary-Trump match up in the choice, we certainly be voting third party.

I'm not excited about any of the mainstream candidates either. Terrified by a couple of them, actually. I don't know what your personal politics are, but check out Gary Johnson. He fits mine pretty damned well, and if there's ever a chance for a legit third party candidate, it's this year.
