OK, I'm posting here to Trump my own weird clown songs. A guy I follow on Instagram somehow got me hankerin' for Trucker Songs. Now, I get irritated when the layperson calls me a trucker, even though I are one. I'm less offended if you call me a hick. So I don't usually listen to this stuff ever. But I got this hankerin'.

My belief that Dire Straits is the greatest rock band of all time is well documented, so of course I also enjoy Mark Knopfler's solo stuff. His album Sailing to Philadelphia is a must, and the title track featuring James Taylor is just fantastic:

Lake Street Dive's new album "Obviously" came out today. Been rocking that this morning, fantastic as expected.

Been listening to "Carrying the Fire" by Michael Collins (the guy who stayed in orbit while Neil and Buzz were on the moon for Apollo 11). Fascinating to get a behind the scenes look at the development of Gemini and Apollo and how hugely immersed the astronauts were and the ability they had to make decisions and lead teams around aspects of the missions.
