The state of science fiction TV and movies in 2023 is pretty shit. The Expanse ended last year and while the third season of Picard was good, it was just a shadow of the Golden Age of Star Trek. But there have been rumors floating around about a new Babylon 5 project written by the original creator and continuing the story of B5 after the penultimate episode Objects at Rest. This intrigues me because B5 is arguably the greatest Sci-Fi ever made for television, and half the original cast is dead. Also, the final episode, Sleeping in Light takes place 20 years in the future. So how are you going to make the cast look the appropriate age and bring back the dead ones?
Well, the trailer came out today. I'm not a huge fan of animated movies, but I guess thats pretty much the only way to do this story. I must say, it looks promising!

I watched all of first season of Rabbit Hole over the weekend. It has so many twists and turns.....I probably need to go back and re-watch it. I enjoyed it.

For some reason The Sorcerer came up on a Youtube ad for me. watched it on Prime.
I liked it. Kinda dated but I like the old stuff if it can be taken seriously.
The bridge scenes were the best.

Can't remember if somebody has mentioned it here yet... Just got back from the theatres seeing The Sound of Freedom.
Whether or not you've heard of it I highly recommend it. As a father it was very hard to watch, but is very important.
Too add on to that. I highly recommend watching it in theatres. Don't just wait till it comes out on something else.

I haven't had the chance to go and watch it yet, but everyone I have talked to that has, echoed the same thing. Very good show, but emotionally hard since it gives you insight into this horrible trade.

I'm nervous to go watch it. I should probably go buy a ticket as I think it's a worthy film and worthy subject. Not sure I wouldn't start hunting after watching it. Kids are not meant to be sex objects. I don't care what you do if you're of age and mental capability. F*ck whatever other consenting adult you want. If someone is under age/or and not consenting, you're a sick son of a b!tch if you're getting your jollies from f*cking them.

Just look at who some of the people who have been reported to be on the list and that will tell you everything you need to know. Lots of politicians and big money people.
Because they want you to think that this is a 3rd world problem and not a problem here (which it is) and they want to convince you to put chips in your kids so they don't get trafficked which will just help push the whole micro-chip bullshit that they already want. Problem -> Reaction -> Pre-determined solution.
That and as already mentioned - the people who are supposed to go after the people on the list are the ones (or are employed by the ones) on the list.

This was my brothers comment after watching the film. His kids are 13 and 17 and each pretty mature for their age.
“The movie was a tuff watch as a dad. It opened the kids eyes to what’s going on in the world for better or worse but we all felt like we needed to see it. There’s a message at the end as well that people who see the movie need to hear.”

I was glad we saw Sound of Freedom. I seriously thought about it all night. It is an important, tough discussion.
If there really are more people enslaved right now than any other time in history worldwide, I have to ask myself this. What will I tell my kids when they ask what I did to stop this evil?
I don't know how to help (donate money I guess) but I do want to say I did something "meaningful", not just something like a politician. Any ideas?
