Oops ;) Made a trip down the St. George Friday night and picked this bad machine up then drove home Saturday.
I called everywhere and supposedly it's the 1st 2019 TX300 in the state.
I really like Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. It was less expensive (by a lot) for me to drive to St. George and back for a 2019 than buying a 2018 from anyone else.

2019 is a full redesign (other than the motor is mostly the same as the 2017-2018.)

The only bummer is that I think it doesn't come with a skid plate and I don't know if the 2018 frame is similar enough to make one work and the aftermarket hasn't released much for the 2019s yet.

Since I put money down on a '19 TX 300 yesterday, I guess I can call myself Stratton's twin. Looking forward to being back on a 300.

Jim at TM talked to me yesterday and showed me where to mod the skid plate to make it fit. The pipe is mounted a full 3" higher and closer to the frame too and the frame has a slightly different shape.
Just some trimming as the thing is very flexible to begin with.

I was also pleasantly surprised to see these now feature a cnc machined exhaust port.

Looks great! That pipe is tucked up super high. I love TMD stuff

I got a JD jet kit put in today.

Red needle 3rd clip down from the top. It had the stock needle (2nd position).
420 main (stock was 450)
30 idle (it had a 25 in it)
Air is 2 turns out.
Idle is turned in quite a bit.
Looped the overflow hose too (supposedly to combat spillage and up the fuel mileage).

I'll have to trail ride it but it seems much
better than stock, I was kinda displeased with the jetting stock. No mid to top bog like before.
It starts easily but the air screw is out enough and idle screw in enough that I might could go leaner on the idle jet. (It's 101*F and 4800ft elevation with 9% humidity).

It's a little expensive (around $70) for a couple needles and 7 jets but you're paying for the research and if I have to open the carb fewer times to adjust it's probably worth it.

It has a 4.0 slide with a notch in it stock

Rode AF Saturday.
Loving the new bike. The WP AER forks are excellent they are nearly as good (and in most ways even better) out of the box was my twice revalved 4CS forks) and the new WP shock is great as well. The new motor design is so smooth it's deceptively quick. I need to probably lean up the idle jet to bring the idle speed up a bit because it's screwed in quite a bit. I'd like to find a 27.5 before dropping straight from 30 to the 25 I have.

Hey so I'm going to be selling my 2015 TE300.
If anyone is interested or has a friend who wants an amazing bike ready to race or trail ride for a long time to come, with meticulous records of everything I should be done prettying her back up in a few days. I'll have a very good price for RME'ers and this bike has close to $4000 in aftermarkets goodies included!

I just got done fully rebuilding the forks: new oil, 1 new damper rod, new top quality SFK seals and dust wipers. I even inspected the valving shim stacks to make sure this bike is perfect.

Who ever buys this is getting one hell of a deal. I’d love to be able to buy a used bike from someone as meticulous as you

Okay so I swapped the Reed valve over to the new Moto Tassarini V Force 4R and I didn't know if I'd wasted my money just based on visual inspection because they look very very similar. With the exception of the wings that stop the Reeds from opening too far and the shape of the inlet (which I neglected take a photo of the new one.)

The stock valve actually looks very very good and I'm willing to bet Paul may have just got a bad set of reeds on his.

So I didn't expect to observe any change whatsoever when I rode it last night... Really I thought I wasted my money...

But to my surprise the jetting was cleaner low the mid and it made power more abruptly and more power everywhere most noticably in the low to mid rev range.

My scientific mind is a bit baffled.

I can only hypothesise that the petals take less force to open on the Vforce4R and the inlet track shape optimizes airflow turbulence.
I can't imagine what the petal stoppers would do to add power but I'm sure they add longevity to the reeds so they don't over bend.
It would appear that the whole package deal helps. I'm impressed.
