Hey, I want to know what you guys think of this tubing bender that I am considering buying....looking at other benders on the net, it seems to have a good design and have an excellent pricetag attached to it. Anyway, let me know what you guys think

from what I can tell, this company has designed their bender/notcher around the racing industry so it was actually designed for tube (not pipe like the scary HF bender) and from what I have read about the company, they are a reputable manufacture.

I echo what shawn said...you can get into the JD2 for about the same price...although not hydro but the way they have it setup with hydro you can mimic that with the JD2 for just about nothing...it just sucks to have to pump up the ram...:D

go for the JD2...more versatile and easier to use. for the same money, why not get something that is industry proven...shawn, you have the hydro jd2 don't you?

my arms are very small in diameter(as spence can atest to)so, i want to go hydro assisted....I dont know what this jd2 is, but if it was one of them i saw, this bender would match in base price, however this bender comes with hydro assist AND 1 die for that price, where if I remember correctly, the jd2 is about this price without hydro and without a die, and by the time you get that setup, you are running almost a grand....somone give me a link on the jd2.

you can make the jd2 as easy as you want...just get a longer handle...but with that said my wife, who is 5'11" and weighs about 115-120, can bend 1.75" .120 without too much help with a 4 foot handle...when I got my handle I bought a 4 foot one and a 6 foot one cause I didnt know how hard it would be...I have never used the 6 footer...the lowbuck also can only do 90* bends...where the JD2 can do upto 180* and the JD2 is a 5.5" radius where the lowbuck is 7"...that means the JD2 is gonna be a tighter and better fitting bend...like I said before, to setup the JD2 with the same type of hydro setup will be really easy and cheap...find the ram you want(HF offers a great one for this) and make a small bracket for one side of the mount then the other side(the ram side) should just slide through the existing mount/bolt...thats all ya gotta do...

you can prolly pull a 90 and then have it repositioned for the next bend quicker then you could pump it to just 45*:D

Scott at bountiful muffler made a hydro assist for his JD2 relatively cheap.

The JD2 is superior. The way I saw your lady wrenching those u-bolts, I don't think she would have a problem with a JD2 manual....;) you gots a tough one on your hands there...

I agree, that the JD2 is a better bender... especially if you want to bend something larger than 1.75" OD...

but thanks for the link, I have some new ideas for that lovely HF pipe bender I bought a while ago... :D
