What do you guys think of this Cherokee?

My friend is thinking about buying this. He asked what I thought about it. I was honest and said I don't know enough about Cherokees to be able to tell if it's a good deal or not.

Please let me know what you guys think. I can't quite tell from the ad but do you think it has a selectable locker in the front or would it be full-time in the front?

I appreciate very much any input on this.

...or maybe he's using some cobbled engagement deal from a Dodge CAD axle. ???? Any way you slice it, the pie's made of horsesh*t and bullpucky. Plus, 8" lift. Ugh.

I would call and get the details on the axles, lift, etc. It does sound a little goofy but the guy that owns it may have been told that same thing. A Cheroke in good shape ought to be worth that. You do get what you pay for and I don't know if I would drive to Richfield to even look at it unless you could make a steal on it. With this guys grammer, who knows what he is actually trying to say.

Couldn't tell what year but it may be pre 87 with a disconnect front 30 with welded spiders. Don't just walk away, RUN FOREST, RUN!!!!

I've never been able to tell really well on years other than from seats. (bad indicator as they're easily swapped out) However, those seats appear to be '91-newer but the pictures don't make it an easy judgement. The Renix 4.0L stuff seems to have the headrest with a hole in it. The later ones are just a pillow type like those.

Red pin stripe (instead of silver) = 91+. Rear bumper is also painted silver, like the side cladding. RENIX had sweet chrome bumpers.

So, it's an HO :eek:
