Ive been running them on the back of the Scout for a couple years and I love them. Ive never felt them unload on me....even when Im standing on my firewall......I personally think they work better on longer wheel base vehicles from my experience with them.

I say if ya got um......run um and see if you like um before you decide to yank um

It really depends on the caliber and what your intended use is. For just plinking I like my little .22, cheap, fun and no recoil. But in a tight spot, a 380 is really the only way to go. Light enough to carry, but big enough to drop a guy... not that I would know.
As for the 'actual' topic. I always though that they were a cool concept, but I think that I would only go for them on the rear.

I have run them on the rear of my toyota for a few years now. I did add a center limiting strap so that they can't both unload at the same time, but each side can still open all the way one at a time. I like them.
