What do you think this worth

Why don't you guys post some pics of rigs you have built. And let me know where these shops are so I can have another one built for 20,000.00

I don't think they said they could have a shop build one new for 20k. You do have a nice looking rig though.

No one said you could build one for that, but I sold this a few months ago for about $20k and it was a tested comp rig. The resale sucks big time.

There are several shops around that build them, the only one that I am really familiar with is RockLogic. Mt. Logan Off-Road does as well, I believe.
Maybe you aren't, but your posts come off as very hostile. Why?

Carl sold his rig for around 20k a few months ago and I would have taken it over yours--better axles, better lockers (presumably), better motor, trusted builder. Not that yours isn't a bitchen rig, and you deffinately can't build one for 20k-- but you didn't ask what we thought it would cost to build it--just what we thought you could sell it for. Thats a big difference.

The parts in your rig are pretty average at best by today's standards. For 80k I would expect an absolutely rabid ls7, 40 spline steering 60's, 3 speed t-case, triple rate coil overs, and pants-droppingly artisen level NASA grade amzing craftsmenship with an attention to detail that even God would be like "holy ****!" Further, the chassis would need to be coated in weapons grade plutonium and the rig should have the ability to convert bacon grease and my empty beer cans into the rocket fuel for that aformentioned pissed-off ls7 all while it cooks my lunch and gives me a swedish deep tissue massage complete with counter clockwise finishing move.

lol, that would be money well spent ;) ;)

but if you get what you're asking out of it then more power to ya.

Not many rigs are gonna be able to go for 80k or even close, and those that have were like everybody said, cutting edge, nothing but the best, never wheeled and done by the best fabricators/companies in the industry. Like Campbell, shaffers, blue torch, twisted etc etc. But htose rigs were bought by high dollar exectutives etc that were built to order, not someone that build it out of your garage, by somebody I never heard of. Not that you don't have skills, and it looks awesome, but I think you better take it down a notch, we are just being realistic. What do you have into your rig? No labor included- that is about what you can expect to get out of it reasonably

See avatar for a pic of the buggy I built for myself. I've had a hand in building a few others for other people. Unlike yours mine has been used and abused tons. Very competition tested. Been on some very difficult trails. Been upside down many (many) times, dropped 30 feet on it's lid, ridden hard, put away wet, etc... Prettied up, painted, and a few issues fixed I would expect it to sell for 15 to 20 thousand. About the same as yours. Sorry, if you built it to sell you made a mistake. I know exactly how much work goes into them. You will never get that value back out of it. Buggy buyers do not have any appreciation of the amount of work that goes into fabricating every little part. If they did, the resale value would be more, but it's not. Sorry. :(

Can I ask what you have planned for the next rig?

Welcome to RME, btw. ;)

Im building a four seater a lot a like this one but a few things different and two more seats. I have a jeep that I have wheeled and been on all the hard trails. But thought I would try out a buggy from scratch.

Looks like you have it down, that's for sure. I 'need' to build a 4 seater as well, so I can take my wife and kid along with me, instead of choosing who's going. But then again, I love small 2 seater buggies so much... I'm considering just building another one and letting my wife have the old one.

Don't tell her that though, she'll want the new one.

Can I get on the waiting list for this one?:D
