What is this thing called

I am trying to find these on Mcmaster and am not sure what they are called. I have tried nub,post,stud. Its the piece that the spring loaded pin goes in and want one that has some protective coating like the one pictured. Any clue?

Are you looking for the lynch pin, or the stud it goes through? Sounds like you want the stud part...which I haven't found in the links above. (since it never works to link stuff to McMaster...)

What about using a hitch pin, cutting it to whatever length you need? That'll be zinc plated usually. Probably have to drill the cotter pin hole out for the lynch pin though, so that area would then rust.

Try Mr. Gasket Hood Pinning Kit #1017, we use to call them Zues or Zeus pins that were used to hold down fiberglass parts on race cars.
