It seems like everyday there is another teacher getting in trouble for doing the naughty with a student. Is this a new trend? I don't remember it happening when I was in school.
What is up with all these treachers?

I don't remember any of this either when I was young. So many of them are women too. Strange times getting stranger daily.

I'd assume there's been a fair amount of that going on for generations. Now that the "news" has reached tabloid credibility/trust, they just go with those kinds of stories to sell papers/ratings.

when I was in high school there were all sorts of rumors of the cute girl having a fling with the art teacher. A few months after graduation they were married (for a short time). In todays media that would have been national news. I am sure it has happened a lot in the past, just the news picks up on it now.
I remember in high school, rumors of a make student with the female math teacher. Funny thing, the day after school was out, they were gone... Ran off and got married (whether he went somewhere for his senior year I just don't know). We also had a female gym teacher killed in a car wreck with one of her female students. On a school night, and it wasn't a school function... That was, um, nearly 30 years ago...

Agreed. I had a teacher that left to pursue a relationship with a friend of mine. Another left for because of an "inappropriate" relationship. 20 years ago it never made the news....

50 years ago the student and the teacher would have been run out of town. No law required, just peer presure. Our morals are not what they used to be.

plus have you seen the kids now a days... I remember when I was in high school... only a few of the girls had boobs above a b cup... seems now days they all are D or DD cup...
Kids are maturing faster and developing just as fast... so the age difference is getting blurred...

When I was in high school the history teacher was also the football coach. It was no secret that he did just about every cheerleader that team had.
Also at the same school the drafting teacher married a student as soon as she turned 18 and graduated.

Speaking as a teacher, I would rather chew my own arm off than even be accused of something this disgusting.
But then again, I am at the middle school level, and all the kids between the ages of 12 and 15 have oily skin and hair, dirty clothes, and dear god do they stink....we have some students with such bad BO that their teachers have disinfect the chairs and desks every day just to get the stink out. I can't imagine anyone wanting to touch those kids. The only time I fantasize about touching a student is when I'm dreaming about beating the s*#t out of them because they're so rude, disrespectful, and obnoxious.
What we really need is another good priest/altarboy scandal, just to get some heat off the teachers for a while...this is getting ridiculous.
