Northern Utah what--no Thanksgiving Day wheeling trips???

My relatives who are hosting Thanksgiving Day are the older type, which means "dinner" is at... sigh... noon. As a result, I might have some free time later in the afternoon. I figured I'd check in on RME to see if anyone was planning a quick wheeling trip that afternoon, and I'm surprised to see nothing. Maybe everyone else is eating at a more reasonable hour.

If anyone has thought about heading our for a quick afternoon trip, please speak up.

The only local place to wheel this weekend is snakes, and so far I haven't heard of any trips out there. I'll be in the swell camping with a good friend. Looking forward to some time out in nature.

We'll be wheelin', of sorts. We'll be in 4-wheel drive, anyway.

Very tempting to jet down to Moab for a couple of days, or find some snow somewhere too and play in the jeep, but probably just family time at the cabin.

This brings back some good memories of spending Thanksgiving at Saline Valley near Death Valley and Grave Wash in the Anza Borego Desert California with the Rough Wheelers 4x4 Club every year for about 20 years. We would cook about three turkeys with all the trimmings and have a great time four wheeling.

We'll be in 18" of snow (2' fell, 6" has melted) and I'll probably clear some of the stuff I didn't clear last weekend. So, I'll be 4-wheelin' a chained up blazer on 35's with 2200lbs of ballast, shootin' a stream of snow 15' in the air.

Wow, only about 6" of snow left. It went fast. No 4wd required until I backed up to the porch to unload.
