What tire is this? BFG AT with wierd tread pattern

Anyone know what's going on here? Ive been looking for a spare for my truck and this popped up under my saved searches. The tread does not look like the BFG AT that I've seen my whole life. Retread?

Maybe they're retreads on BFG carcasses? The old MTR is a popular re-pop pattern. That or just a garden variety KSL maroon.

And they're old retreads, Treadwright's new bead to bead molding process covers the sidewall and has for a couple years now.

Kinda crappy of that guy not to mention that, I wonder if he knows.

Funny that he mentions that DOT date code which is completely irrelevant. He says he paid $400 for the pair of them

I had GuardDogs on my Trooper for three years, beat the snot out of them and never had an issue. I know at one point you could get just the basic retread OR the bead-to-bead retread on that tire.
